See here’s the thing, I would really like to make a list of my favourite bloggers, I don’t have a long list at the moment though, as most of them have quit blogging. Not that I’m complaining as I’ve been a very naughty blogger myself! Here’s the problem, this whole place confuses me. I mean, I was so used to the other place, is this one really that user “unfriendly”, or am I just to old to attempt to wrap my brain around WordPress. Anyway, if anyone sees this post, and can help me figure out how to make a list on my page, I would be forever in your debt!

Well let’s see if this works. It looks like I successfully moved everything over. I also saved my blog on my computer before they could lose all those entries on me! I had set up a BlogSpot way back, but only got around to making a couple of posts, not sure I’m going to like this yet. But if I don’t, I’ll just start using my BlogSpot. I should have time, I mean afterall, my nest is pretty empty these days!

Seeing how trying to figure out how to move everything has pooped me out, I’ll sign off for now. Wish me luck!

You know I get that some of us want to stay young forever. Let’s face it, no one wants to grow old. But just because a good song comes on the radio as you’re driving down the road doesn’t give you the right to crank up the tunes, press down on the gas pedal, open the sunroof, stick your arms out the roof, all the while steering with your knee, singing at the top of your lungs! Something’s not workin’ for me? I’m in a funk…………I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I’ve been working my ass off trying to work some of my ass off and it just ain’t happenin’. I don’t always wanna be the person everyone else wants me to be. I dont’ always wanna be sunshine and rainbows…………I’m not really that person………but I’ve always had the knack for fakin’ things just to keep everyone else happy yanno?

My baby graduates high school in under two months………….my manchild is still stuck between a man and a child……I have a HUGH ASS birthday coming up this summer…………and my body feels like it’s on the downward slide. I keep thinking, if I eat right, get more sleep, exercise, I’ll magically feel like a new woman ………..that just ain’t happenin’. How come things never happen the way we want them to?

And I want somewhere to write how I’m feeling without worrying about worrying anyone you know? I just wanna be me (no I’m not singing!) I don’t need anyone worrying about me, when for the most part I’m tickity-boo………it’s okay to be in a funk now and then, my world is NOT coming to an end if I’m in a funk.

We have a stag/stagette to go to tomorrow night, and I just might dance some of my ass off…………although I’m sure my feet will be screamin’ at me on Sunday……….frankly dear…………I don’t give a damn!

When I was a little girl, I used to love listening to my Grandfather play the piano. He was such a beautiful pianist. Eventually he couldn’t play any longer, his hands became so crippled with Arthritis, then he would just enjoy the times his brother would play in his presence, he would raise his voice to the skies, singing along, and we would all clap when they were done. But before, when he could still play, I can remember sitting on the floor, just soaking up the music. There was one song he would play, that even as a little girl made me a bit sad, but I loved it, and would sing along, in my little girl voice…………

Well it’s off to Vegas I go Baby!!! I’m a bit frustrated, this annoying fear of flying is really making it difficult for me to get excited. But when I push past those thoughts, and picture myself there with a great bunch of people, I do start to get all tingly! Oh wait……..perhaps that’s that pinched nerve acting up again hehe.

I would have just LOVED to be back in the day when Frank, Sammy and Dean were headliners in the clubs. Not only were they bluesy, which I absolutely love, they just seemed to love what they were doing. OH sure, some might say they weren’t always the most upstanding citizens, but then again, either am I somedays, just gives them more real character in my books. Or how bout that Marilyn Monroe, I totally could have handled sitting down with her for a good chinwag, she had charisma baby, just something about her, and I think she could have used a good friend of the same sex to have the odd chinwag with here and there. James Dean, would have been fun to see if you could get that serious bad boy face turned into a smile now and then. Or Elvis………well he’s Elvis……what can I say! Guess I’ll have to settle for the wax museum, which I most definitely will be checking out. Yea I’m kind of excited, it will be something like I’ve never seen before. It’s a start right? Next trip……….perhaps a cruise, or a nice white sandy tropical beach somewhere. For now, I’ll settle for an innertube in the pool, and a tropical beverage in one hand.

I was tired of my colour scheme…….how does this look on me? Thought it was time to change it. Doesn’t go to well with the pretty hearts so it may get changed again soon, I’ll keep it for now.

My pidgeon is getting all grown up, quietly changing into a woman, of course I bet you can guess how that makes me feel. I’m such a wimp when it comes to my babies growing up and spreading their wings. She came to me the other day, saying her g/f whom graduated last year had asked her to drive 2 hours by herself, all the way to the g/f’s dorm…………to go to a ……………………TOGA PARTY! Of course she told me this with her face all screwed up in disgust, ew, a TOGA party. To which I replied how it might be alot of fun, that I’ve been to one or two Toga parties in my lifetime. Not anticipating her next comment, quickly her face unscrewed itself and she asked where she might purchase a white sheet. EEK! Truely, it’s not the party that worries me it’s the 2 hour drive on the highway to get to it. Growing up…….changing.

So I went to get a pedicure……mmmmmmm……..you gotta love the chairs they have at the place I go to. Big cushy vibrating chairs! They get so vibratety (yes I’ve decided that can be a word!) that if that song gets stuck in your head you can REALLY sing that one line pretty good Ch-ch-ch-ch-changesssssssss! I said to the girl, I need to change this pretty blue to some different colour. I said " I want VEGAS toes baby!", so now I have the purdiest red piggy toes you ever have seen! They really are quite cheeky if I do say so myself, I’m sure they’ll look lovely hanging over my floaty thing as I float down the lazy river sippin’ some sweet, cool beverage………or SIX!

Not all changes have to be a bad thing right? I CAN DO THIS! Oi………..I’m workin’ on the get excited thing, honest I am.

And can I just say I’ve got that song stuck in my head, not the "changes" one, but Now I’m a believer, and I’m gigglin’ picturing Roy serrenading Nadine whilst sweating at the gym!

Okay so maybe not pins but I’ve had enough needles in the last month! I’ve got a bone to pick with my white blood cell count, apparently it’s acceptable for it to get high, yet not for me to! What’s up with that? I went for a physical back in July, the doctor was just FULL of good news when I went back for my results. I’ve never liked it when they call you back for results, I mean it’s not like they ever have anything nice to say when this occurs. So anyway, he put me on a wide spectrum antibiotic in hopes that it’s some kind of infection that I wasn’t aware of. Was on it for 2 weeks, had to be off it for a week, then have my blood tested again. The week was up today, so off I went before work (what a horrid hour that is) to get pricked again (and not in the fun way!). We shall see if the count has come down at all, let’s hope so, cause I really don’t have a clue what they’ll be looking for if it doesn’t……oi……….blah!

As if that wasn’t bad enough, apparently my thyroid has decided to quit working, I mean I wish it was that simple for ME to decide to quit working, or at least quit working ONE job! Slapped me on Thyroid medication, weakest dose, thought "YEAH………..maybe I’ll lose some weight" LOL what a joke, 3 weeks so far, and not one lousey pound. Nor am I feeling any better, I still feel like I’m draggin’ my fat butt around. Have to wait 3 months to have that blood test run again, quite possibly have to have a stronger dose……..we shall see eh?

Then to top it all off, cause everything happens in three’s don’t ya know, he tells me my blood sugar is a tad high. Here we go again with the high thing! After all that good news I felt like it really was ME that needed to get high, too bad it’s not the 60′s anymore, hehe. As for the blood sugar, for now he just wants to keep an eye on it, but then again, the funny part about that is he’s leaving! Yep……….once again I find a doctor I’m comfortable with, and he up and leaves. Piss on it! Ooops, that’s not overly polite is it, then again, that’s exactly how I feel about it lol.

Honestly, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit worried, but I must admit, I’m not as worried as I’ve been in the past with my health. I just don’t have the energy to worry like that anymore, best to wait until there is something to worry about and I’m hoping today’s bloodtest will come back in much better shape and there won’t be anything to worry about. So that’s what I’m going to do, "positive thinking", cause I’m just far too busy, and far to interested in leading a healthy long life, to have it any other way!

Now for a bit of exciting news, or at least I’m told I should think about it that way. Apparently I’ve been roped into a trip to Vegas. That’s right………..ME………..the one deathly afraid of flying has agreed to take a trip to Vegas (hey, I guess I’ll be getting high afterall…….or the plane will anyway), there’s about 8 of us going, and they’re all excited. They would really like me to be excited to. Number one……….the flying thing really makes me uncomfy, and number two…….I’m just not as flush as I thought I’d be after going a whole 2 months without a paycheque! But you only live once right? So I’m going to do my best to suck it up, try to get excited, and not constantly worry about every penny I don’t have.

So that’s all she wrote………for now anyway. Wish me luck……….~hugs~
